Lostromo is the system built for one real boat-tour business, opened up to other captains. It came out of the work, not a marketing deck.
Why Lostromo?
A lostromo is the crew-hand who runs the deck's daily work — ties the lines, keeps order, checks everyone's in their place. While the captain's at the helm, the lostromo is the quiet effort keeping the ship running.
We named the software after him, because that's exactly the job: it runs the bookings, the payments, the tickets and the day's list without you lifting a finger. You captain; Lostromo handles the day.
How it started
It began in Kaş, with Captain Ergun's BoatTripTurkey. Over a hundred thousand followers, thousands of happy guests — but he couldn't take bookings through his own website. Everything ran by hand, over phone and message.
We built him a booking and payment system that runs from his own site, under his own brand, into his own bank account. The first month said it all: from zero to 124 confirmed online bookings.
Then we saw the same problem in hundreds of businesses along the Aegean and Mediterranean coast. So we turned the system that worked in Kaş into a product and opened it to other captains. That's Lostromo.
